Cancer Information & Support

SWAGGA PCN Limited is committed to proactively improving cancer screening uptake within our community. Our strategic programme focuses on a multi-faceted approach to reach eligible individuals and ensure timely access to vital screening services. A cornerstone of this initiative is our dedicated team of Cancer Care Coordinators. These invaluable members work directly with patients, providing personalised support, addressing concerns, and navigating the screening process. They play a crucial role in identifying and proactively contacting individuals who are overdue for their cancer screenings, offering convenient booking options and answering any questions you may have.

To further enhance accessibility and reach a wider population, SWAGGA PCN will be hosting opportunistic pop-up events in various community settings. These events will provide accessible points of contact for information, offer on-the-spot booking for screening appointments, and raise awareness about the importance of early cancer detection. Our Cancer Care Coordinators will be actively involved in these events, offering their expertise and support directly to the public.

For any queries related to cancer screening, SWAGGA PCN has established a dedicated phone line, 0151 351 8849. This service is available Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, providing a direct point of contact for patients seeking information or assistance with booking appointments. Outside of these hours, individuals can leave a voicemail, and one of our Cancer Care Coordinators will promptly return their call, ensuring that all inquiries are addressed efficiently and effectively. Through these combined efforts, SWAGGA PCN aims to significantly improve cancer screening rates and ultimately contribute to better health outcomes for our population.
