Autism Family Support
Last Updated: Tuesday, 19 May 2026
The SWAGGA Autism Family Support Service offers 1:1 peer support and signposting for families and carers of young people with autism, helping with behavioural challenges, sensory needs, and access to financial and mental health support.
The service is led by Julie Simpson, an expert by experience who has raised her son with severe autism and founded both Epic, a social care provision for young adults, and Autism Adventures, which provides leisure opportunities for families. Referrals are made via your GP, after which families are contacted by phone and may be offered face‑to‑face support, courses, or access to a wide range of community services to help manage their child’s needs.
Please contact your GP practice to arrange an appointment.
